COGG Defibrillator

At our AGM in January, members discussed and agreed that the group should purchase a portable defibrillator.
We are pleased to report that an order has now been placed with Duchy Defibrillators of St Austell for a semi automatic device that can also monitor the effectiveness of chest compressions whilst performing CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation).
The device will be delivered to us at the club room on Wednesday 11th May 2022 and as part of the purchase Duchy Defibrillators will provide a training session for all club members starting at 2.30 pm. The training will include familiarisation and use of the device, basic first aid and administration of CPR.
We would urge all members to attend this session as the training given and skills gained would enable you to have confidence to operate a defibrillator and give CPR at the club, at home or elsewhere.
